Purple Felahi Scarf

• This style of scarf is smaller than our Kuffiyehs and is meant to be worn on the head, as our grandmothers wore them. They can also be worn around the neck or around the shoulders. However you can imagine it, you can wear it.
• This particular Felahi Mandeel features a deep purple colored scarf with a bright floral pattern. Each scarf in this collection has its own floral pattern and highlights different colors.
• The traditional scarf is encircled by the Kuffiyeh and has a white hand-crocheted border with white tassels (3 in total) on each end of the scarf.

Growing up, these colorful Felahi Manadeel were very much a part of my memories. My Grandmother had a black one with red flowers and a red beaded fringe that I, to this day, hold onto. Palestinian women traditionally wore them, and they are still sold in marketplaces across Palestine. We at Juthoor decided to bring together our fondness for this joyful symbol of the Palestinian traditional headscarves and the countryside, with the proud symbol of the Kuffiyeh. We also wanted to complete it with the traditional, delicate accent of a hand-crocheted border and tassels. The Felahi Mandeel is larger than a traditional scarf but smaller than a full-sized Kuffiyeh, so have fun styling yours.
